Coastal India & Islands Overview
Designed for faster quoting, cleaner routing, and stronger on-ground delivery
India's coastline gives a program its slower half, and it is usually sold as the closing leg after a heritage or hill circuit rather than as the reason for the trip. The mainland coast is straightforward: Goa, Kochi, Chennai, Pondicherry, and Puri all have ordinary access and normal hotel inventory. The islands are not. Both Lakshadweep and the Andamans operate permit regimes, with limited islands open to visitors and further restrictions on foreign nationals, so they need lead time and confirmation before a client is committed. The Nicobar group, despite appearing in the territory's name, is not open to tourism at all.
Hotel support
Full resort inventory along the mainland coast at Goa, Kerala, and Chennai, and much tighter, earlier-booking inventory on the islands, where a handful of properties carry the whole destination.
Transfers and sightseeing
Airport and jetty transfers timed to domestic connections and ferry schedules, city sightseeing at Mumbai, Kolkata, and Pondicherry, and island permit paperwork prepared ahead of arrival rather than on the day.

Agent Questions
What agents ask us about Coastal India & Islands
Straight answers from the desk that quotes and operates this destination.
Do the islands need permits?
Yes. Lakshadweep requires a permit for every visitor and admits tourists to only some islands, and parts of the Andamans carry restrictions with further conditions for foreign nationals. Both need lead time, so eligibility should be confirmed before a client is committed rather than after.
Can clients visit the Nicobar Islands?
No. Although the territory is named Andaman and Nicobar, the Nicobar group is not open to tourism. Programs sold as Andaman and Nicobar in practice cover Port Blair, Havelock, Neil, and the surrounding Andaman islands only.
Which coastal destination works best as a closing leg?
Goa for most programs, because access is easy and inventory is deep across every category. Kerala's coast works when the client is already in the south, and the Andamans suit clients who want the beach to be the point of the trip rather than the wind-down.
